2008 Summer Camp Information
The purpose of this website is to provide an overview of wrestling camp options and provide parents with information useful to select a wrestling camp to fit their child's developmental needs
In an effort to simplify the selection process, the following categories will be used
Day Camps: Characterized as a low to medium intensity camps. Recommended for wrestlers with one year or less of experience.
- Pros: low cost, limited travel or commuting requirements. May leverage outside areas coaches to introduce new ideas and techniques.
- Cons: May lack the diversity of wrestlers that the resident camps (see below) will provide.

Resident Camps: Characterized as medium to high intensity camp held on a university campus or hotel conference center where participants stay on-site for up to one week in duration. Recommended for wrestlers with at least 2 years of wrestling experience.
- Pros: Often offer world class, nationally reknown clinicians, increased diversity of participants due to the multi-state draw these camps typically attract
- Cons: Higher cost and may require greater travel to and from the camp.

High Intensity Camps: Multiple week camps designed for wrestlers who are seriously committed to winning state championships.
- Pros: The best of the best attend these camps, and the intensity is off the charts.
- Cons: Costly and campers do run the risk of burn-out if they are not seriously wired for wrestling.
